#146 That he had a sweet little fiesta

This morning’s birthday party at Chuck E Hell went off without a hitch.  A whole kindergarten class with the place to themselves.  Pizza, fruit punch, and cupcakes.  Who could ask for anything more?  He was happy.  I’m glad that recent chaos didn’t impact his birthday at all.  And now it’s all over.  (The birthday that is.)

It was nice for him to have this special morning with his friends.  This is my kid who takes a while to warm up to situations and people.  And after two years of preschool and one year of kindergarten, he’s finally warmed up to these terrific kids and their parents.  I’m thankful for his friends.  And mine.  Friends are a staple ingredient to life.  We all need them.
